When HJC were searching for inspiration for their new flip-front helmet, they decided to go down an unconventional path.
Rather than looking at the product’s usual habitat of city streets and open road, the manufacturer sought to move the game on by using their experience from the track, where size, weight, peripheral vision and uncompromising comfort can be the difference between winning and losing.
Based on HJC’s successful RPHA 11 helmet, the new RPHA 90S flip-front is exceptionally small (using three shell sizes) and lightweight (1350g in carbon form), and both looks and feels like a race helmet when locked down – helped by some stunning graphics.
.The reinvented RPHA 90S is the most compact modular helmet on the market. Resembling a full-face helmet through weight and appearance, yet functioning as a modular helmet, there are some striking features, including dual homologation so you can ride with the front up or down; stainless steel quick-release micro buckle fastener; quick-release, centre-locking visor with an extra large eye port and a Pinlock anti-fog system provided; internal drop-down sun visor; plus an advanced anti-bacterial, moisture-wicking, and fully removable interior which can be adjusted for fit.
The helmet also has been designed to accept an integrated SMART HJC Bluetooth communication system, which is available separately, and is simply plug and play.
Reinforcement materials include Carbon and Aramid fabric, providing enhanced shock-resistant performance, more comfort and lightness.
A simple and secure shield ratchet system provides ultra-quick, tool-less shield replacement. The cheek pads are interchangeable throughout all sizes.
